In Tulum, dinner is often an experience in its own right. The open kitchens, the embers and the products of Yucatán tell the story of the territory as much as the plates. Here are five complementary addresses, chosen to go from a large table under the trees to an informal local lunch.

Hartwood
An institution on the Boca Paila road, entirely focused on cooking over a wood fire. The menu evolves according to the arrivals from the sea and the Yucatán harvests. People come here for whole fish, smoked vegetables and cuisine deeply linked to the Mundo Maya.

Arca
Contemporary Mexican cuisine, plant-based and precise, served in a jungle setting. The small plates are happy to share and the cocktails continue the work of local herbs, fruits and spices.

WILD
Under the canopy, WILD combines local products, international inspirations and a cozy atmosphere. The address works particularly well for a slow dinner, with real attention paid to cocktails.
Taqueria Honorio
A reference in the center of Tulum to taste Yucatan tacos: cochinita pibil, lechón and relleno negro. The setting is simple, the experience authentic and the best preparations sometimes leave early.
Chamicos
A relaxed getaway to Soliman Bay beach for ceviches, fish and seafood with your feet in the sand. A table to combine with a swim and a quiet afternoon.
The culinary scene changes quickly: hours, menus and reservations must be checked the same day. Our advice is to mix a large table from the hotel zone with an address from the pueblo to really understand the cuisine of Tulum.
